Chinmaya Vanaprastha Sansthan, Madurai, a wing of Chinmaya Mission organised a 'spiritual meeting' at Chinmaya Meenakshi on March 25 [Sunday]..as per the guidance of Acharya Swami Sivayogananda..Guest speaker Sri. N.S. Krishnan, Director, Madurai College Board, shared his experiences with Gurudev Swami Chinmayanada during his visit to Tirunelveli and  also the life and teachings of Bhagawan Sri Ramana Maharishi.

Mrs. Mallika Sekar , Coordinator introduced the Guest., Mr. Thilagar, welcomed the suggestions from the participants  for future activities. While  Yuva Veer Naren welcomed the gathering, Mr. Gopalsamy. thanked the Chief Guest, donors and the participants...

Rotary Youth Leadership Award - Programme

Rotary Club of Madurai North West,  in co-ordination with Chinmaya Yuva kendra, Madurai , organised a youth programme called   " Rotary Youth Leadership Award " to the 11th students of M.C, High School on March 5, 2012...85 students and  four  teachers attended, the sessions..

The Chief Guest, Rtn. Purushothaman was introduced by Rtn. Krishnamoorthy..While Sri Thilagar welcomed the participants, Yuva veer Naren, thanked the Rotarians, students and guests..

Acharya Swami Sivayogananda presented a power point Programme on 'Ten Types of Intellect', followed by Yoga Session handled by Sri Gopalsamy.. In the afternoon session 'memory techniques' were explained by Rtn. Baskaran and 'Goal setting'  by Rtn. Naazar. ..

Camp kid, Sumptuous food and refreshments were provided  to all the participants ..and Participation Certificates were  also given..the feedback from the students was very good and interesting...

மதுரை : "தேசபற்று மற்றும் தெய்வ பக்தியுடன் கூடிய ஒழுக்கம் இருந்தால்தான் தனி மனித வாழ்வில் முன்னேற்றம் கிடைக்கும். தேசபற்று மற்றும் தெய்வ பக்தி மிக்க பாரதியார் வழியை இளையோர் பின்பற்ற வேண்டும்,'' என சுவாமி சிவயோகாநந்தா வேண்டுகோள் விடுத்தார். 

சின்மயா யுவ கேந்திரா மற்றும் சென்ட்ரல் பேங்க் ஆப் இந்தியா இனைந்து மதுரை லட்சுமி சுந்தரம் ஹாலில் ; "சன்ஸ்க்ருதி" என்ற இரண்டு நாள் நாடக விழா நடந்தது. சின்மயா யுவ கேந்திரா செயளாலர் மருதுராஜன்வரவேற்புரை நிகழ்த்தினார், சின்மய பாலவிஹார் மாணவிகள் விவேகா, அபிநயா இ‌றை வணக்கம் பாடினர். சென்ட்ரல் பேங்க் ஆப் இந்தியா சென்னை மண்டல மேலாளர் எஸ்.கோபாலகிருஷ்ணன் தலைமை வகித்தார். சுவாமி சிவயோகாநந்தா பேசுகையில் : "தேசபக்தி மற்றும் தெய்வ பக்தி மூலம் நம் இதயத்தில் இடம் பெற்றவர் சுப்பிரமணிய பாரதியார். அவரது சுதந்திர வேட்கை கவிதைகள் உலகமே போற்றுகிறது. தேசபற்று இருந்தால் தனி மனித வாழ்வில் முன்னேற்றம் கிடைக்கும். பாரதியார் வழியை இளையோர் பின்பற்ற வேண்டும்,'' என்றார். மேலும், இரண்டு நாள் விழாவனது கனலும் அனலுமாக இருக்கும், என்றார். 

இவ்விழாவை சென்ட்ரல் பேங்க் ஆப் இந்தியாவுடன் இணைந்து நடத்திய சின்மயா யுவகேந்திரா, சுவாமி சின்மயாநந்தரால் தோற்றுவிக்கப்பட்டது. இதில் தனது குரு சுவாமி சின்மயாநந்தர் ஒரு கனலாகவும், சின்மயா யுவகேந்திரா ஒரு அனலாக இருக்கும் என்றார்.இசைக்கவி ரமணன் உட்பட பலர் கலந்து கொண்டனர். பாரதி-யார்? நாடகம் நடந்தது.சின்மயா யுவ கேந்திராவை சேர்ந்த செல்வி சுவேதா நிகழ்ச்சியை தொகுத்து வழங்கினார். சின்மயா யுவ கேந்திராவை சேர்ந்த செல்வி நிவேதிதா நன்றி கூறினார். 

பிப்.,19 மாலை 6.15 மணிக்கு "சூர்யா 108" எனும் நாடகம் நடந்து.இரண்டாம் நாள் விழாவில் சின்மயா யுவ கேந்திராவை சேர்ந்த விலாசினி நிகழ்ச்சியை தொகுத்து வழங்கினார், செல்வி அனுத்தமா கடவுள் வாழ்த்து பாடினார், செல்வி நிர்மலாஸ்ரீ வரவேற்புரை நிகழ்த்தினார். இவ்விழாவில் சிறப்பு விருந்தினராக சென்ட்ரல் பேங்க் ஆப் இந்தியாவின் துணை பொது மேலாளர் திரு.பெரியதம்பி கலந்து கொண்டார், வாழ்த்துரை மன்னர் திருமலை நாயக்கர் கல்லூரியின் சுயநிதிப் பிரிவு இயக்குனர் திரு. கோபாலசுவாமி பேசினார். அதன் பிறகு 'சூர்யா 108' நிகழ்ச்சி துவங்கியது. நிகழ்ச்சியின் முடிவில் சின்மயா யுவ கேந்திராவை சேர்ந்த செல்வன் சுந்தரமூர்ந்தி நன்றிவுரை நிகழ்த்தினார். 

'சன்ஸ்க்ருதி' என்ற இரண்டு நாள் நாடக விழா இனிதே முடிந்தது.இந்நிகழ்ச்சியில் சின்மயா யுவ கேந்திராவின் சென்னை மற்றும் தாமரைபாக்கத்தை சேர்ந்த உறுப்பினர்கள் மற்றும் கலைஞர்களும் முக்கிய பங்குவகித்தனர். இதற்கு சின்மயா யுவ கேந்திராவின் மாநில அமைப்பாளர் திரு. சுதர்சன், பெரும் பங்கு வகித்தார். மதுரையில் சின்மயா யுவ கேந்திராவுடன் சேர்ந்து சின்மய யுவ வீர் இளைஞர்கள் செந்தில் மற்றும் நரேந்திரன் ஆகியோர் நிகழ்ச்சிக்கு உருதுணையாக இருந்தனர். 

சின்மயா மிஷனின் ஆச்சாரியா தவத் திரு சுவாமி சிவயோகநந்தா இதற்கெல்லாம் பக்க பலமாகவும், அவருக்கு உருதுணையாக சின்மயா மிஷனின் உறுப்பினர்கள், மற்றும் மகளிர் குழுவின் உறுப்பினர்கள் இருந்தனர். இந்நிகழ்ச்சி உலகம் முழுவதும் 26 இடங்களில் அரங்கேரியது, இதற்க முழு வழிகாட்டியாக திகழ்ந்தவர் தவத் திரு சுவாமி மித்ராநந்தா அவர்கள், இவர் சின்மயா யுவ கேந்ராவின் அகில இந்திய தலைவர் ஆவார். இளைஞர்களை ஆன்மீகத்தின் முலமாக நல்ல எண்ணங்களை மற்றும் ஒழுக்கத்தை வளர்ப்பதே இதன் நோக்கம் ஆகும்.

On the stage...Going desi..

Chinmaya Yuva Kendra, Madurai, organized a two-day theatre festival named “Sanskriti”. Two musical dramas, “Bharathi-yar?” and “Surya 108”, were performed, depicting respectively the life of Maha Kavi Subramania Bharathi and worship of Lord Surya, The dramas were staged on February 18th and 19th at Lakshmi Sundaram Hall. Over the years, Chinmaya Mission has organized cultural and devotional programmes and musical dramas and their goal through this theatre festival was to convey a powerful message to the people of Madurai.

“Bharathi-yar?” played for the first time in Madurai, though it has traveled all over the world more than two dozen times. Bharathiar is known as a poet and a freedom fighter. But not much is known about his personal story. The drama opened with Bharathi declaring that it is important to identify oneself as human first. The dialogues were captivating. This play highlighted incidents from Bharathi's life and how boldly he faced them, gradually evolving from a pluralistic outlook to an understanding of the unity of all beings. There were also beautiful dance sequences in the drama. Bharathi came alive on stage and also in the audience's mind, and the effect of so many Bharathis appearing on stage at the end lasted long after the play was over. Many in the audience cried out, “Vande Mataram!” .”

“Surya 108”, a performance about sun worship not just in India but across the globe, combined music, dance, drama and multimedia. The drama began with the 12 steps of surya namaskar. It depicted the eastern and western philosophies, festivals and world cultures based on Lord Surya. The sun is the source of all energy both physical and mental. Invoking the sun and remembering his brilliance will help a person to become brilliant. This vision was translated into physical reality in an inspiring way. The drama explored the importance of the Gayathri mantra and also the threat of global warming.

The audience also learned scientific facts, for instance, that a string of 108 small suns can fit between the earth and the sun. The performance was a fusion of traditional and modern, leaving the audience impressed.

                     TWO-DAY THEATER FESTIVAL By CHINMAYA YUVA KENDRA  [Chyks]

Feb: 18^th & 19^th [ Saturday and Sunday] are the red-letter days for Maduraits. The youth wing of Chinmaya Mission of Madurai & Thamaraipakkam (Chennai) did splendid performance in Lakshmi Sundram Hall, Madurai. M/S Central Bank of India was the chief sponsor of the programme.

Barathy-Yaar?  Was a Tamil play staged on the first day…

Mr. Gopalakrishnan, Zonal Manager ,Central Bank of India, Chennai, was the chief guest. Isaikavi. Ramananji during his felicitation, said as how one has to imbibe ‘Barathi ‘within.

Acharya Swami Sivayogananda, said during his benediction, that Swami Chinmayananda was an ardent flame and the youth are sparkles from it. Hence they can only achieve success. Mr. Gopalakrishnan said that money invested in Chinmaya Mission gives rich dividends to one’s inner growth.

The spectacular show by Barathi thrilled the audience. They couldn't get up even when the show ended.

‘Surya 108’ was yet an another marvelous play, in English,  by Madurai and Chennai  CHYKS. Surya’s  Gayathri mantra  was heard murmuring  by the public , even when the play ended. Simply Amazing….

Mr. Periyathambi, Dy. Genl. Manager of Central Bank of India, Madurai, was the chief guest. Prof. Raja Govindasamy, gave a very warm felicitation.

Participation certificates were distributed to all the participants  and memontoes to the Chinmaya Mission members and Devi Group for their tireless service for the success of the programme.. Acharya Swami Sivayoganada honored Chyk Sudharsan, Chennai,, for his wonderful coordination and leadership…

Taking the audience to Rishis, witnessing  Sri Rama, Siva are a few glimpses of the play. The hall was packed and sometimes over-flowing. ....   

  

Maha Sivarathri Mahaotshavam ( 20.2.2012)

                                                    

                                                  

"Maha Sivarathri Mahothsavam" was celebrated at Sri Dakshinamoorthy Sannadhi, Chinmaya Mission, Madurai  on February 20, 2012 (Monday) in a grand manner ...Four kala Poojas were held from 7.00 p.m. to 4.30 a.m. (21st.Feb.),. Members of the Ashthiga Sabha, Doak Nagar, recited Veda Parayanam during the first kala Pooja and Bhajans sung by Devi Group members..Second kala pooja was also organised at the Shiva temple in Chinmaya Tapovanam at Pulloothu, simultanesously...Acharya Sw. Sivayogananda, explained the auspiciousness  and uniqueness of the "Maha Sivarathri Day" to the devotees..Prasadmas were distributed at the end of each Kala pooja...Large number of devotees and Mission members were attended and benefited...
