Guru Peyarchi Vizha - 2011

The transit of the planet Jupiter [GURU] from Pisces [ Meena] to Aries ( Mesha ) rasi was celebrated in Chinmaya Mission, Madurai, in a grand manner, on May 9th (Monday) from 7.00 a.m to 11.00 a.m.

The functions were started with Sri Vigneshwara Pooja, Ganapathi Homam, Navagraha Homam, Sri Guru Dakshinamoorthy & Guru Bhagawan Moola Mandhira Homam and ends with Poornahudhi, abhishegam and special aarthi to Guru Dakshinamoorthy.

In the evening Sri Dakshinamoorthy Sahasranama Archana was held..prasadams were distributed to the devotees...large number of devotees assembled, in the sannadhi, to get the blessings of Guru Dakshinamoorthy, on this special occasion.

LEAD Summer Camp For Children....2011 - Valedictory function

LEAD Balvihar Summer Camp - 2011 Mathroo Pooja and Valedictory functions were held on May 8, 2011 at Chinmaya Mission. Madurai. 98 students were enrolled, this year. Cultural programmes were organised by the children, in the presence of Acharya Swami Sivayogananda.

The Chief Guest, Mrs. Kausalya Srinivasan, Correspondent, Akshara Matric. Hr. Secy. School, appreciated the students involvement & performances , Further she specially mentioned the effort and strain taken by the Devi Group and CHYKs, under the able guidance of Swami Sivayogananda, to train the campers. She offered her Institution's support in the possible way, in the coming year camps.

Mementos and certificates were distributed to the participants and volunteers. Some of the Parents expressed their happiness and requested Chinmaya Mission to extend the duration of the Camp for 15 days, next year, for the benefit of their children. Sumptuous food was offered as prasad to all the participants.

LEAD SUMMER CAMP FOR CHILDREN....2011

Chinmaya Balvihar Summer Camp = LEAD - 2011, is being organized continously for the 6th year from 1st to 8th May, 2011, by Chinmaya Yuva Kendra & Devi Group, Madurai. This year 92 children from different areas of the city participated in the camp.

Smt. Lakshmi Ravindran, of Balaji Gas Agencies, lighted the Chinmaya Lamp and inaugurated the function, on May 3 [Sunday]. Swami Sivayogananda explained the camp instructions to the students..while Smt Gita Saibaba gave the Camp report.

Camp schedule includes - pooja / stotrams, Yoga, Inspiring values, Vedic Chanting, Games, Craft activities and ends with Chinmaya Aarthi & Pledge.

SEVA at Chithirai Festival - 2011

Chinmaya Seva Trust, Madurai, has organized 'Thanner Pandal" on the eve of Alagar Edhirsevai, during Chithrai Festival...Lemon Juice and butter milk were distributed to the devotees .Acharya Swami Sivayogananda guided the Chyks and Devi group members , to organise the event successfully.

Chinmaya Academy for Management Science (CAMS)

With the blessings of Pujya Gurudev and Pujya Guruji Sri Tejomayanandaji, a new dawn arose in Chinmaya mission, Madurai on April 30th, 2011.

It was the launch of Chinmaya Academy for Management Science (CAMS). This first corporate meeting, by CAMS, was held in Hotel Fortune Pandian, Madurai. Nearly 50 management people representing different organisations / Institutions, attended the Seminar

Sri Srinivasan, E.C. Member and Mg.Director, Reyvish Associates Pvt. Ltd., welcomed the gathering on behalf of CAMS.

Achraya Swami Sivayogananda, in his benedictory address, stressed the need of culminating Indian culture and

ethics in the corporate world. This value based management is sure to be the ladder of SUCCESS. He also said one

should always grow taller than the circumstances.

The delegates were briefed about the Vision, Mission and the Focus area of CAMS through a Power Point. by

Ms. Guhakumari.

Sri M. Keshav of MANTRA , Chennai, was the Guest Speaker. his session on ' The Secret of Profit - Manage the Mind’ was truly inspiring practical and appealing.. He was a CHYK member and quoted many anecdotes of Gurudev and Guruji, in his talk.

The session was highly interactive.The meeting was concluded with a sumptuous lunch. The feedback of the delegates was very encouraging.......
