Sri Krishna Jayanthi Celebrations - August 14 to August 15, 2009

Cultural Programme by Balvihar Children
at Chinmaya Meenakshi, Chinmaya Mission, Madurai,
on August 15, 2009 (Sunday)

While the grand celebrations of Janmastami for 3 days kept the devotees reveling in the sweet memories of the birth of Sri Krishna, Br. Srinivas Chaithanyaji's 'Gnana Yagna' at Tirunagar, on the closing chapter of Udyog Parvam of Mahabharatha, struck the audience with wonder on the magnanimity of the Lord...

Sri Krishna as a messenger of Pandavas, portrayed the excellent qualities - compassion, wisdom, endurance, untiring effort to explain the righteousness of one's life, recognizing and responding to the true love, focused, unbiased and what not!

Effort is that by which man unlocks his potentials, discovers the growing confidence, recognizes weakness, breaks all limitations and thereafter becomes the creator of his destiny.

Sri Krishna speaks volumes of 'dharma' one has to follow..Subtle facts of stories, limitless sages, maharishis and yogis, who walked on this noble soil, throws light, on this treasure land of spirituality next to none.

The sanctity and purity of ' Yudhishtra' and other Pandavas is admirable through the verses of Vedha Vyasa... Their trust in Sri Krishna is unshakable!

Trusting is a sign of trustworthiness., of course! In trust, the soul is at rest!!!

Gita Jnana Yagana at S.S. Colony

Final Day Functions at TAMBRAS Marriage Hall, S. S. Colony,

Br. Srinivas Chaithanya has concluded the 18th Chapter of Bhagawat Gita Shravana Sadhana Yagna at TAMBRAS Hall. The second part of the 18th Chapter was conducted from August 2 - August 8, 2009

The Acharya rightly felt the pulse of the audience and lead them into the His lime light, immediately! Each verse declared the Divine compassion on mortals. His embrace is thrilling and awesome..His irresistible love brings tears of gratitude!

Where the true surrender is, there reveals the Divine Grace. It is a pity full of strength & kindness, a pity that pardons, forgets all offenses and wants always the best for every one. Further he threw light on the strength of this 'Sanathana Dharma', and the noble quality of this soil chosen by Divine.

Sri Krishna says "surrender your virtues & sins, joy & sufferings, knowledge & ignorance, wisdom & folly at my feet" ... with a smile HE promises, 'I will take the responsibility, thereafter!'

Thus Sri Krishna, the Yogeswar shine out His sweet face and extend His arm of protection, not only to the oft clasped shoulders of His eternal comrade and playmate, Arjuna., but also to all his devotees!

To conclude, Acharya quotes Tennyson: What am I?
" an infant crying in the night..
.. an infant crying for the light..
.. but with no language, but to cry!"

On the final day of the Yagna Chinmaya Mission honored the TAMBRAS Committee by presenting a 'Chinmaya Lamp' and Chinmaya Seva Trust has also made a donation to TAMBRAS Old Age Home.

The residents of S.S. Colony and nearby areas were greatly benefited to hear all the 18th Chapters in the same venue and are expecting more from Chinmaya Mission, in the coming months........
