BALVIHAR CHILDRENS' CAMP -' TREK OUT' '

Chinmaya Yuva kendra members and Chinmaya Devi Group jointly organised an outdoor camp for Balvihar children on August 28 (Sunday), 2011....65 students from different areas of Madurai, joined this camp...As suggested by Acharya swami Sivayogananda..
the children were taken to Chinmaya Tapovanam , pulluthoo, situated at the foot of the Nagamalai hills,,

Mr.s Mallika Sekar, emphasized the 'values of life' to the gathering..M/s ING Vysya Life Insurance Company, conducted a 'Painting Competition' and games...prizes were distributed to the first three winners in Junior / Senior groups and participation certificates were distributed to all the children, by Mr. A. Alagappan, Branch Manager, Madurai.

After launch the children enjoyed the 'trekking session' in the Nagamalai hills..The camp ends with a visit to Sri Bairavar and Sri Kamakshi Amman temples, in the area. The children enjoyed the games and trekking activities more enthusiastically...The Chyks and Devi Group with the members of Chinmaya Mission organised the programme, very nicely...

Greetings from Chinmaya Mission, Madurai !!


Madurai Chinmaya Mission, is conducting Gita Chanting Competition for the school children for more than 13 years. More than 60,000 children were trained to chant Gita Verses of various chapters and prizes were distributed to the winners. Not only the children, but also their parents learn Gita Slogams, to train their children! That means in addition to 60,000 children, 1,20,000 parents are also participating and join with us to know our Indian Culture and tradition...


Voluntary free service members from Chinmaya Yuva kendra members, Devi group, various Sanskrit Professors and many spiritual people, are joining, in this great event.


The organizers need money to provide necessary coaching materials, Sweets to the children, Certificates, Invitation, prizes at various levels, lunch to the students & Parents, tea, Biscuits, etc., during the long drawn activities, starting from June & ending with the finals by October , every year.


May I take this opportunity, to request the good hearted philanthropists, pious and religious minded persons to extend their help, to conduct the competition successfully, to spread the spirituals of the Greatness of Gita !

Spiritual Discourse at Sri Ramayana Chavadi, Madurai











On the eve of Sri Krishna Jeyanthi, after three decades, "Thousand houses Yadhava society" has organised a spiritual discourse on Bhagawad Gita, at Sri Ramayana Chavadi at North Masi Street, Madurai.

Swami Sivayoganada highlighted the greatness of Sri Bhagawad Gita, three days from August 17 to 19, 2011. Large number of devotees in and around the area were attended the satsang regularly.

Chinmaya Aradhana Day...August 3, 2011





























Gurudev Swami Chinmayanandaji Aradhna day was celebrated as 'Seva Day' by Chinmaya Mission, Madurai, on August 3, 2011.

On the eve of ' Seva Day' educational instruments like Geometry boxes were distributed to 150 students of Madura College Higher Secondary School , in the presence of Acharya Swami Sivayogananda at the School premises..President Sri M.S. Meenakshi Sundram presided and Genl Secy. Mr. Thilagar also participated.

In the Evening " Guru Padhuga Pooja" was held and Swami Sivayogananda, started five days "Kena Upanishad class " in Sri Dakshinamoorthy Sannadhi, at Chinmaya Meenakshi dhyana Mandapam. Large number of devotees and members, participated in the events.

ATM -Youth Camp by Chinmaya Yuva Kendra, Madurai



























A one day ' personality development Camp ' for College students was organized by Chinmaya Yuva Kendra, Madurai, under the guidance of Acharya swami Sivayogananda, on July 31, 2011 (Sunday)., at Chinmaya Meenakshi, Madurai. More than 100 students from different colleges, in and around Madurai, participated..

As suitably named "ATM - All Time Motivation" the resource persons discussed the different faces of the Motivational aspects, in all the three sessions.

Mr. Krishnamoorthy, president of the North west Rotary Club of Madurai , presided and inaugurated the camp.

In the first session " Motivation - Magic of Attitude"- Acharya Swami Sivayogananda, discussed the definition & basic types of Motivation and also highlighted the difference between enthusiasm and motivation. He has widely quoted the examples from Mahabaratha, Thirukkural and Bhagavad Gita., during the session.

The workshop on" PACT" was handled by Yuvaveer Mr. Ganesh and explained the PACT problems, PACT solutions and PACT Evolution, a concept developed by Chyks.

Prof. Govindasamy, Director, Mannar College, expalained the "Life Skills" that are most important for the students community, in the third session.. Chyk Janaki gave a presentation on "Heroes of our mother land 'Bharat' ..

Participation Certificates were issued to all the Students..Tea & snacks and sumptuous launch were organised to the participants..The students enjoyed the Sessions and expressed their happiness and thanks to Chnmaya Mission and Chyks for giving this unique experience, through their feed back forms.
