"Maha Sivarathri Mahothsavam" was celebrated at Sri Dakshinamoorthy Sannadhi, Chinmaya Mission, Madurai on February 20, 2012 (Monday) in a grand manner ...Four kala Poojas were held from 7.00 p.m. to 4.30 a.m. (21st.Feb.),. Members of the Ashthiga Sabha, Doak Nagar, recited Veda Parayanam during the first kala Pooja and Bhajans sung by Devi Group members..Second kala pooja was also organised at the Shiva temple in Chinmaya Tapovanam at Pulloothu, simultanesously...Acharya Sw. Sivayogananda, explained the auspiciousness and uniqueness of the "Maha Sivarathri Day" to the devotees..Prasadmas were distributed at the end of each Kala pooja...Large number of devotees and Mission members were attended and benefited...

"Sanskriti" - A Two day Theater festival by Chyks
A two day theater festival "Sanskriti" is being organised by Chinmaya Yuva Kendra, Madurai, a youth wing of Chinmaya Mission on Feb. 18th and 19th, 2012.

Distribution of Free Uniforms to the Students..
Chinmaya Sewa Trust, (Chinmaya Mission), Madurai, distributed free Uniform to 151 economically weaker students of Sethupathi High School, Madurai, on December 3, 2011. Sri Tilagar, Genl. Secy. welcomed the audience, while Sri Gopalsamy, Secy., introduced the "Yuvaveers" to the students and asked to utilise their services for their betterment. Sri M.S. Meenakshisundram, President, presided the Meeting.
Swami Sivayogananda, Acharya of the Mission, in his benediction address, explained the characteristics of the good students and the need to improve their qualities in life.. He explained the slokes from our scriptures and Vidhura Needhi to emphasis his points..The Head Master of the School thanked the Mission for this gesture...Mission members and Madura College Board members also participated..
