Chinmaya Mission Madurai, is the branch of Chinmaya Mission Worldwide.In the presiding deity Guru Sri Dakshinamoorthy Sannadhi, poojas, Bhajans and Aarthy are being held,daily. Acharya Swami Shivayogananda, is looking after the activities of the Madurai Branch. A library Chinmaya Saraswathi has opened,recently, with a collection of books under different titles. Gurudev's Visit to madurai in 1988 for yagna was organised by committee headed by Chairman Ramco PRR and others. Mr. Durai pandian was president Chinmaya mission and Somasundaram was secretary of the mission during Gurudev's visit. The then dist. Collector Mr. Devaraj.IAS, the Collector of Customs and central ex. Mr. M.G.Venugopal. IRS, and DIG of madurai Mr. Govind and a host of many other IAS and IPS officers were members of the yagna committee in 1988 besides important industrialists of Madurai.
