Upanishad Jnana Yagna - Kenoupanishad....

Upanishad Gnana Yagna by Swami Sivayogananda held at Chinmaya Mission, Madurai, from April 1 to April 5, 2011.

Very interesting at the outset and at the same time very subtle concept was systematically explained. Glimpses of Chandokya Upanishad, Brahadharanya Upanishad, Adi Shankara’s bashyam, and stories of Mahabaratha and slokas of Bagavad Gita are just a few to mention the pains taken by Acharya to explain the eternal TRUTH.

A few to know:

  • · The knowledge of objects is the reflected light which is super imposed on the general light.
  • · The General light is ‘pure consciousness’ which is spread over from head to toe.
  • · One can focus the attention within to collect the consciousness.
  • · It gains tremendous power and IT helps one to overcome all weaknesses.
  • · Hence fill one’s being with this pure consciousness.
  • · Once IT is awakened, it is sure to be the re-birth.
  • · It’s possible only in a human birth as he is bestowed with auspicious qualities like observation, memory, comparison, evaluation, selection Success should give confidence and not arrogance.
  • · Worldly success is dropped to claim spiritual splendor.
  • · The physical, vital and mental planes have to be aligned to know that ‘ Brahman.
  • · ‘I’ness and ‘My’ ness should be destroyed and ‘Vedic truth’ should be known before one plunge into Brahma Gnana.
  • · This demands humility as it is delivered only with the help of a Guru and judgment.
