Gnana Yajna at Geetha Bhavanam, Madurai..

The Sourashtra Community of Madurai, has a great adoration & devotion to Sri Krishna to name the hall ‘ Geetha Bhavanam’. Aarthy to Sri Krishna is only Geetha Aarthy. With such an ambience, Chapter XVI of Bagavad Geetha was taken as a continuation of ‘Geetha Gnana Yajna’ regularly conducted there.

The simplicity, the sincerity and the spontaneity of the Aacharya, Swami Sivayogananda kept the listener’s heart attached and attuned to the gunas one should possess.

All through the yajna, one could feel the moving rhythms of soft and smooth unfoldment of one’s personality.

Not only it was said to Arjuna, but it is a manual to tide over crisis of modern man.

· Be fearless, by disassociating oneself from self imposed attachments.

· Fear is due to ignorance.

· Assume responsibility, which gives self-confidence.

· Faith in our Vedas, Upanishads, Puranic scriptures and daily practice of poojas is sure to illumine one’s mind.

· When the mind is so pure, the intellect will always revel in Supreme.

· Hospitality is our national strength and ‘giving’ is our symbol.

· Don’t do anything for the sake of doing it. It should be like doing a ‘yajna’. So committed, so truthful.

· Aspire for the control of sense organs & achieve it. This in turn, conserve tremendous energy for the right action.

· Always contemplate on what is read & heard. …meditate.

· The up-rightness / honesty of mind, words & actions gives one, the guidance of ‘guru’ the essential aspect of one’s life.

· Non-violence is ‘satyam’.. it is always victorious.

· The real never ceases to exist, the unreal has no existence.Much more...

To explore, please attend the yajnas .
