Listeners were gifted indeed!
A few inspiring thoughts:
- The world revolves on the wheels of Time and Actions.
- If the actions are done without expectations of the results, one can easily get liberated from the gravitation of time.
- Knowing that the body deteriorates,as the time slips off,one is not yet turned towards the Eternal.Quite surprising.
- Effort should be consistent & there is no time scale for it
- Effort coupled with enthusiasm pays rich dividends.
- The thirty-six code of conduct given by Pitamah is the right direction to lead a contented & a happy life.
- The place of ‘father’, ‘Mother’ and ‘Guru’is unparalleled in one’s life.If we are aware of their presence and our duty towards them, then Bheeshma says that it is ‘Dharma’ of life.................( given in 15 slokas)
- Again he gives sixteen ways in which sorrows can be relinquished.
- In eight slokas, he gives the power of ‘Sweet Speech’.
Thus it is not mere 36+15+15+8 statements. They are Crystal clear drops of Wisdom.
Attend the yajnas, to experience it yourself.
